Pro-Life but Spell it H-y-p-o-c-r-i-t-e-s
Pro-Lifers will hold a sign that says “Abortion is murder”, “life is a human right”, “Every life is valued”, and “protect all human life.” Then they will turn around and hold signs that say “guns don’t kill people, people kill people”, they support the death penalty and agree with Trump putting kids in cages. These aren’t acts of valuing life at the end of the day. Pro-lifers are hypocrites that aim to take away women’s rights to choose and cover it with a “meaningful” sign.
It’s hard to believe that people can proudly say they are pro-life when they clearly don’t care about the baby when it is born. Pro-Lifers would have a child born into a family that cannot financially and mentally support them rather than allow women to have that choice. In a groundbreaking study called the “Turnaway study”, it was discovered that “the women denied abortions who gave birth had increased rates of poverty six months after the fact, compared with patients who were able to access care.” The same study also discovered that women who are denied an abortion are “More likely to experience serious complications from the end of pregnancy including eclampsia and death, more likely to stay tethered to abusive partners and more likely to suffer anxiety and loss of self-esteem in the short term after being denied abortion.” So if all life matters, what about hers?
According to the Gallup, Republicans who have an opinion on abortion choose Pro-life over Pro-choice. The same Republicans that don’t support stricter gun laws. If all life is important then why wouldn’t people want stricter gun laws and why would you support a president that throws children in cages, the same children that they “are trying to protect.”
Most Republicans are constantly putting energy into things that battle the term “pro-life”. For example, supporting Trump’s budget that cuts programs that support pregnant women and children. According to the Truthout “Wic is a program that serves over 8 million low–income children and pregnant women; it has been shown to improve health for children, as well as educational outcomes as they grow older.” Trump’s new budget will cut programs like WIC. Once again if people are “pro-life” why support a budget that is taking away programs that better the lives of women and children.
If people fall into the category of being a Republican that is pro-life they should think about what their party stands for and continues to support such as, taking away health care from 24 million Americans, making it hard to get HIV/Aids testing and “Inciting far-right violence with lies about abortion.” Quick reminder these aren’t acts of valuing all life. At the end of the day, all “pro-lifers” out there need to put more energy into actually valuing all lives instead of pretending they do. Pretending to care about the life and well being of a human just so you can strip away women’s rights won’t cut it anymore.

I love this article!!! I totally agree on everything you said and how one should think about the party that one stands in because there’s a variety of things that one should look into.

This headline is fantastic! The government is going to force me to have a baby I’m not prepared to properly care for, then tell me to put them in a foster care system that’s not going to care about them.

I love this article because it’s not talking about abortion specifically and being pro-choice but rather talking about the issues with the other side of the argument of being pro-life. Morgan provided a lot of arguments and showed how pro-lifers contradict themselves so often.
